Old 7ft Jacques Snooker Table with Balls & Cues. Condition is “Used”.
This snooker table was bought from Jacques Traditional Games manufacturers in the early 1980’s, so is nearly 40 years old.
It is 7ft by 3.5ft so is quite large.
For the first 10 years of it’s life it stood in my bedroom where we needed shorter cues so that we could play balls off the cushions as my bedroom wasn’t quite big enough. For the next twenty years it was stored upright (it folds down) in a couple of different locations. Sadly, whilst it was being stored in my garage some mice got at the baize which you can see in two of the photos (which are up at the black ball end of the table). For the last six or seven years it has been stood in my garage where my sons have played on it quite regularly. We are now downsizing, and the time has come to (sadly) get rid of it.
The table is in reasonable condition, aside from the mice eaten baize. The playing surface is a hard composite plastic, so the table is not too heavy. It is 85inches by 42inches. The cushions still have plenty of bounce in them and the feet are adjustable so that the table can be made level.
There are four cues and one rest. One of the cues has a damaged tip, but the other three are all usable. The cues are 57ins; 41ins and 34ins.
The table comes with a compete set of snooker balls, but there is no second cue ball allowing you to play billiards. There aren’t any pool balls. It does come with a brush to keep the playing surface clean.
It should probably go to the tip, but just wondered if someone might like it for a bit of fun.
The table is located 2 miles from Junction 2 of the A14 where it intersects with the A508. Given the size of it you will need a van and it is buyer collects only I’m afraid.
