Everything's Beautiful follows the soundtrack for Don Cheadle's Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead, which features Robert Glasper's original score material, by almost two months. Although it is credited to Glasper and Davis, it's more like a Davis-inspired Robert Glasper Experiment album, as elements and samples from the trumpeter's Columbia archive are part of the mix. Additionally, Glasper calls upon a number of producers and vocalists, including 9th Wonder and Phonte on "Violets" (which samples "Kind of Blue") and Rashad Smith and Erykah Badu on "So Long" (which samples "Maiysha").
