The Avesbury 7’ x 7’ log cabin with its half-glazed door and matching storm-resistant joinery window is a perfect balance between a shed and a summerhouse; both attractive and highly practical.
This top-quality 7’ x 7’ log cabin has 19mm interlocking high grade pine boards to the walls and tongue and groove boards to roof and floor.
The beauty of a log construction means no framing internally giving you uninterrupted walls and a real log cabin experience. All timber is certified to produce an environmentally friendly and quality garden building.
The building is supplied untreated and requires a wood preservative immediately after assembly. Building dimensions are to the edge of the individual boards that make up the unit and will include the crossover of the logs.
For critical dimensions use the metric values, imperial dimensions are rounded for description only.
Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and for access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment. The timber floor is included. Please note that log cabins are made up of individual log lengths to be built up one by one not ready-made panels.

Great quality
I managed to put it up on my own in a day and painted it the next, Solid thick wood and better quality than I expected for the price, plenty of spare felt,screws,nails and planks, 100% happy customer.

My Review for Shire Avesbury Log Cabin
The design of the Log Cabin is good the execution of the product not so much. The supplied assembly instructions are disordered and confusing; instructions should be clear beginning with the first task of assembly and then follow on from there to the last task of assembly and completion. They are not, there were many times when I was scratching my head trying to understand something that was just badly explained, badly illustrated or both. They refer to Cabins with a different name, yes, there will be similarities in the product construction but the buyer's instructions should only be for the product purchased. When I received the message referring to my delivery I was expecting the product to be delivered on a pallet, well it was on a pallet but the delivery driver had no forklift or crane to offload the pallet. That meant it had to be taken off the truck by hand and then piled on the ground resulting in some of the more fragile parts being damaged. After this I was given the pallet then I was left to place everything back onto the pallet and cover it up because throughout the whole period it was snowing. Although assembly is simple and straightforward the parts were not all marked with a legible 'letter' and if they were many were indistinguishable. Some of the cut pieces were not finished off neatly and some of the measurements were slight off as well. One of the floor bearers was damaged and another length of T & G was also damaged. The roof felt is poor quality, as is the supplied hardware which was badly manufactured and I opted to buy my own. The door lock should be universal for left or right fitting it is not, all the supplied hardware is of a poor standard plus most people have switched to using torx screw instead of pozidrive. Some hardware was left over and not needed suggesting that it was a standard pack given with all Cabins. I also see no reason why the door and window frames could not be preassembled? Surely if it's considered to be a kit form of product that would save time for the end user to assemble it. I was also surprised that the floorboards are the same thickness as the roof boards, considering that as the floor is slightly raised on the bearers that will mean a cold air flow underneath the cabin. I would have expected a standard thickness of proper planed T & G floorboard, yes, it's built to a price, so why not increase that a little and have better quality. I erected the whole thing myself as the design is good let down by all of the above better quality felt, hardware and overall quality control is definitely where Shire are letting themselves down improvement here would result in higher customer satisfaction and scores.

If you are not at home when we try to collect we reserve the right to deduct from your refund or charge your credit card the direct costs to us of the failed return in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
