Antique Bar Billiards Ltd ‘Jelks’ Table
Research has dated this item to the late 1930’s, having been built prior to World War 2.
Bar Billiards Ltd plaque still present at foot of table, numbered ‘154’ under the base and also engraved into the wooden frame.
This number would have related to it having originally been offered on lease by Bar Billiards Ltd.
Constructed from Oak with a slate bed, (we believe the bed and cloths underwent professional refurbishment around the end of the century).
A stunning piece of vintage furniture, would provide a beautiful addition to a distinguished ‘home bar’ or games room.
Fully functional coin operated mechanical timer, currently set to provide free gameplay for 18 minute matches.
Original wall mounted oak scoreboard and full set of original balls (x7 white, x1 red).
Rules of gameplay, set of x4 skittles and x4 vintage cues included.
The table measures approx 6 feet x 3 feet.
A unique feature of this game is that all shots are to be taken from the baulk end of the table, which means the table can be positioned and used in a more compact room or location than a snooker or pool table for example.
