antique 6ft x 3ft slate bed and mahogany snooker dining table by John Jaques of London. Condition is “Used”.
Includes 2 cues, 2 rests, set of balls, triangle, baize brush and a valuable wood and brass scoring slider.
The slate bed is in 1 piece, the baize and cushions in very good condition. 1 small (probably cigarette burn) mark on the top of the lower cushion. Still plays well. Pockets are fresh and without holes.
The wood work is solid and in good condition, the legs are removable. The wood finish in places could do with some care and attention. there are scuffs and marks, including where the tabletop is missing a rubber and has scratched the varnish.
The dining table top is easily removable and in 3 sections, 1 section also has a cosmetic scratch, see pictures.
Overall, a wonderful solid piece in good condition which includes all accessories to enjoy christmas dinner on and then have an afternoon match.
This is a heavy item and even in component pieces, the main bed is a 2 person lift. It is possible to talk about delivery at extra cost.
