Well, what else is Half Term for, if not to play snooker?

Barry Dock have confirmed they will enter a team in the CDSA next year. Thursday is also a goodnight for them if we switch. My only concern in moving to a Thursday is we will lose the Savoy as they play in the Barry league on a Thursday night.

Previous suggestions of taking the top few of each thursday league and putting them in a new thursday division with us sounds good. I dont intend to canvass opinion from the thursday league (that's a job for el sec if he wants it) but we do need to get all existing tuesday teams (with the possible exception of Savoy) to agree to a switch.

If i were one of the teams in the top half of thursday div.1 i would object to ANY team from div.2 taking my place.

Teams who play in div.1 are there by merit - not by choice. All that`s needed is divide the total no of teams into 2 equal divs with some of the old div.1 joining the tuesday sides, and the "few" from div.2 being the winner and run/up who go up on merit..

Nob is right. It would be a question of taking 7 teams from Thursday, and first refusal would be given to the top 7 teams in their top division. They would join with 7/8 sides from Tuesday in a Thursday Premier League.

What would we do if the leading Thursday teams didn't want to play in that division? Do they have the right to say they don't want to be part of the Premier League? I don;t really think they should, to be honest. Until now, they have played with all the teams that want to play on a Thursday, and that should just continue.

colin lane has confirmed if the tuesday league moves to a thursday he will still have a team and might even enter a B side.

I would just suggest that the Savoy and Penarth BL might need more dispensation to move games within the calendar week (if their opponents agree) as some Barry League teams do play their home matches on Thursdays.

In the Barry League the home team chooses the night, so for away matches you can be playing on any night from Tues to Thurs.

Otherwise, it's an easy decision really isn't it. No need to consult even. Just do it. Although Jay won't be happy as he plays football on Thursdays.....

They would have no say in the matter..

There was nothing stopping any tuesday team from entering the thursday lge in the first place..

Supposing the top 4 on a tuesday opted to play on a thursday,? would NF have put them into div.2,? i don`t think so..

All the thursday teams voted against forced promotion to a tuesday lge, but had prom/rel on thursdays. Since there won`t be any change to that format, all it means is more variety in venues for div.1..

Aber & Senghennydd moved to a Thursday night, and I put them straight into Thursday 1.

Personally, I feel they've been a very welcome addition to the Thursday contingent. And it's not like they ran away with Div 1, or, got relegated.
